The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 uses a V-Shape tread pattern to quickly and efficiently disperse standing water, with Grooves along the tread to assist in transporting water and retaining grip on snow and ice. With 3PMSF snow performance certification, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 delivers great all season performance. With regards to ice and snow, Goodyear says, “Our Snow Grip Technology helps keep you in control with precise biting edges.”. The centre blocks of the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 are spaced closely together with small slits in each to assist with traction on snow.

The Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 is the successor of the Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 in the Goodyear all-season collection. An added XL construction is available for the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 to cater to consumers with cars requiring higher loads. For those wanting an all-season tyre specifically for SUV’s and crossovers, an entirely separate tyre, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 SUV, is available. These tyres are a big improvement over my last set (which weren't all-season) when I had some scary moments of aqua planing. These tyres also handle better in rain and extreme cold. I was searching for all-season tyres for winter trips to Northern Europe. These tyres worked well with the roads, mud, and wet and snowy (not heavy or icy as you'd need specific tyres for those situations like Finland or Iceland) conditions. I made the journey from the UK to Denmark and did not have any issues with the rain, sleet and light snow. Also, during the winter months some EU countries require the use of winter tyres.

I have made 5 years of experience with the tyres and they have performed amazing year round, be it summer or winter. A coupe of weeks after the tyres were fitted, they dealt with snow and provided excellent grip and breaking. In the weeks following, they dealt with heavy rainfall and standing water, all with great performance and reliability.

Although the Goodyear tyres don't provide the same level of grip as my previous Michelin PS4s, it's not really a problem for me as I don't drive aggressively (Golf GTI Performance 2019). The main difference is that, after 20,000 miles, the Goodyears still have over 6mm of tread left compared to the Michelins, which is a lot better. They also have great grip in all weather conditions under 7°c. They are perfect for my day-to-day driving, to the point that I have made the Golf my weekend car and I now drive a VW Up! for the daily commute, which also has Goodyear All Season tyres. I can find no faults with them!

Bought as a winter tyre. Have driven on them twice so far, both times in about 2 inches of fresh snow and have had no problems. They also managed an emergency stop on a wet motorway with no issues. They are pretty quiet and give a nice ride as well.

I decided to contact some reviews on these snow tyres after watching YouTube videos on snow tyres. I fitted them on my 18-inch Monza alloys for the winter because the 19-inch original tyres on my Mk7.5 Golf GTI are not good for light snow conditions here in the North East. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by them because it was over 10 degrees when I fitted them, and obviously, these tyres are meant for much colder conditions. We got some snow early December, and the tyres dealt with everything beautifully, even at over 70 mph in fresh snow and the car felt nice and stable with no skid or slide. They even worked well in my estate with just a little wheel spin. The downside is of course, like all snow tyres, they don't work that great in the rain, and they will skid a bit, but I suppose I do like to drive my GTI a bit aggressively. The combination of these and my Michelins on the back of the Golf is excellent. These winter tyres are good and I may even get another set to match all four, as the rears are from a used tyre shop and are 13 years old but were new then.

These tyres work the same as other brands when driving on dry roads. I didn't really feel a difference when driving in wet conditions, although I do have a Dacia Duster so I have to be careful on the bends. I haven't been able to perceive any noise increase as the mileage of the tyres has increased. They seem to be good at handling wet surfaces. My fuel consumption remains about the same. On a light covering of snow in an alpine car park, they were extraordinarily good, better than my previous set when they were on muddy slush. However, they don't seem to have good grip on muddy grass, although the car doesn't seem to sink in as much.

I am quite picky when it comes to the tyres I choose for withstanding harsh winter weather, such as snow and blizzards. I trust that winter storms will not be an issue for these tyres. I think they will do just fine as my trip to the Alps was over 1000 miles and these were smooth and quiet the entire way and were grippy and provided great traction on all surfaces. The snow and ice in the villages was no problem and I was confident and compliant with the laws regarding snow tyres. They have also provided great traction in the UK, especially on the muddy rural roads I live on and my fuel efficiency has not changed since my previous set. I would definitely repurchase these tyres and I recommend them to everyone for my all-wheel-drive Subaru.

I was always happy with my Michelin Crossclimate tyres, even at the legal limit for tread depth. They still gripped well and I felt safe. These Goodyear tyres may not have been tested in snow yet, but I've been impressed with their grip and especially their quietness. It's almost like there's a new car, the difference is that noticeable, and I think now I've realised that the noise was different. Compared with other surfaces they're much quieter. I liked the Michelins for their quietness, but newer models are 3db louder, so I switched to the Goodyears with a lower 69db rating and they were cheaper. I'm really happy with my decision and will see how they perform in the snow.

If I was buying now I would steer clear of the 98 XL reinforced version for sure. I would think about it for a 55 or 60 profile, but not for a 50 for sure.

I fitted these tyres to my Audi A4 Diesel Quattro Estate in November 2023. They all have over 6mm of tread remaining. The noise and grip are comparable to the summer tyres from Conti I have previously used. They are also good in colder weather. I have driven at 80mph in 35 degrees celsius (during France summer) and they performed outstanding. I have not had to drive on packed snow, but they handled a few inches of wet fresh snow really good. I will definitely consider getting these again.

Great grip regardless of weather conditions. I haven't tested them on snow and ice yet, but I think they should perform well given the tread design. Stability and security when driving is top-notch. Let's see if they hold up to the promise of longevity. I've done around 1000 miles and they seem to be showing no signs of wear. I think the biggest downside is the more firm ride from the bumps in the road but that doesn't bother me too much. Overall, so far, they are worth it.

Again, we did not have much of a Winter here, so I had to test them in 2024 over in the Pyrenees for rain, snow and ice and they did brilliantly. The tyres offer a comfy ride for normal driving around the midlands and handle pretty much all the potholes, they are not overly road noisy and are good for grip. They do not have the same sharpness of steering as the Summer and performance tyres I used to have but still think they are excellent and would buy them again for sure.

The grip is phenomenal, and the noise from these tyres is minimal. I haven't tested them out in snowy conditions yet. I haven't noticed any significant change in fuel consumption. I used a previous generation 2 version on my SUV, which did exceptionally well in the snow in France, and that is why I selected them for my new van.

The current condition of the tyres looks fine, however, they did puncture with very little provocation. I had my puncture repaired but I ended up opting for a thicker tyre. I went with this brand in particular because it is more established and comes well recommended. In addition, I was looking for the all-season variety. They are a little on the pricier side, but I was due for a tyre replacement regardless. The old owner left tyres on the car that were older than the car itself.
