235/45 R18 is the standard size on the Tesla Model 3. The first number is the metric measurement of the tyre's width, 235mm. Following is 45, which is the aspect ratio of the tyre. 45% of 235mm is about 106mm, which is the height of the sidewall. The R means it is a radial tyre, and the 18 means it is fitted on an 18-inch rim. That makes the overall diameter 669mm. The Model 3 has a 106mm sidewall which gives it cushioning over rough roads.
