The Continental AllSeasonContact 2 introduces the benefit of improved mileage and wet braking, when compared to its original AllSeasonContact model. While it is better in those areas, it is still certified to be used in winter conditions. It has an aggressive V-shaped pattern in the tread of the tyre, designed to guide water away from the contact area and to the edge of the tyre. It has a C-shaped block to maintain and improve steering response on dry surfaces and has micro cuts in the treads to improve grip on cold surfaces and snow. The polymer and plasticizer compound from Continental maintains flexibility in varying temperatures for better grip.
It is the replacement to the AllSeasonContact and has a reported improvement of 15% in mileage and 3% in wet braking distance, in comparison to the original model, not to mention improved Rolling Resistance by 6%.
