Toyota GR Yaris Tyres

The Toyota GR Yaris is a performance-focused three-door hot hatch. Multiple sectors impact the overall performance of a vehicle. In the GR Yaris, Tyre selection is critical to how all systems interface in the car. They impact steering, braking, and road holding. Toyota GR Yaris tyres should focus on wet weather performance, but also offer stable and even cornering, and be comfortable to drive on a daily basis. Convenience must always be considered in the GR Yaris.

Toyota GR Yaris tyre sizes differ between generations, trims, engines, and factory wheel setups. With the many permutations of each of these factors, a replacement tyre must be fitted to the approved size. Vehicle handbooks, the sidewall of the current tyres, or even registration data can help to narrow the approved size. An approved fitment supports comfort and safety in the GR Yaris and optimises its performance.

When selecting GR Yaris tyres on Tyres.co.uk, customers are able to see different tyres side by side and compare performance, brands and prices. Buyers are able to choose tyres, and then have those tyres fitted at a convenient location by a nearby partner.

All is well. The back end of her F Type is more reassuring for my wife, and I see that they are sliding in a more smooth and controlled way.

These tyres are great for wet conditions and cornering, and they seem to be quieter than my last set. I'm happy with them so far and only time will tell how durable they are.

The perform great, and compared to the original tyres, they are a bit quieter. The driving experience is improved which is always a plus with the 128ti. I have used these tyres before, so I know them.

I believe they will do better than average in wet conditions because they have good grip, however, I have not tested them in the winter conditions.

On dry roads, the grip feels almost endless, while on wet roads, it is comforting. The wear rate corresponds to what you would expect from a high-performance tyre.

I read some great reviews and decided to buy some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres for my road-legal track car, a Mazda RX8. These tyres offer great dry road handling and responsiveness just like other ultra-high-performance tyres that I have experienced. I won't be testing these tyres on wet roads and I suspect that they may not perform will on wet roads based on my assumption of their tread design. On the track these tyres excel. I specifically compared these tyres Cup2s with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports and noted a small but confident improvement in stability and grip. I would track recommend track use.

My main use for these tyres is sprints and track days. When it comes to dry weather conditions, they are absolutely superb, however, when it comes to wet or damp conditions, I fear the risk too much when I am pushing my Porsche Cayman S to the limit. On average roads, they are decent but I am considering going for something a bit more durable next time, maybe a Pirelli Trofeo.

At the start, this may feel a bit slack, but when you warm up, it feels like you are driving on railway sleepers. With some heat in the tyres, it feels like I am driving a different car altogether.

I suspect my fuel economy is worse with these than with Pirelli's and they are definitely louder. I would go back to Pirelli P-Zero.

Buying Toyota GR Yaris Tyres: Common Questions

Tyres.co.uk lists tyre options for the Toyota GR Yaris such as the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S in 225/40 ZR18 92Y XL for the standard factory 18-inch fitment. Please check the driver-door placard and registration details for the specific load index, speed rating, and specifications prior to ordering.

Information regarding the tyre sizes for the Toyota GR Yaris can be found on the driver-side door recess tyre-pressure placard, which can be accessed with the driver's door open. The placard displays the approved tyre specifications, as well as the cold pressure values and should be compared to the tyre sidewall and the registration prior to selecting replacement tyres.

Toyota GR Yaris models don't need to have four new tyres put on, but since every UK model has GR-FOUR all-wheel drive, Toyota states that you must have matching sizes, brands, tread patterns, and closely matched tread wear. If you have a compatible matching pair, then in accordance with UK tyre safety guidance, you should put the new tyres on the rear axle.
