Toyota Proace Tyres

The Proace is a medium-sized commercial vehicle from Toyota that is ideal for movement across town and on the motorway for deliveries and transport of trade equipment. The Proace is most equipped for the type of frequent use found in the UK with tyres that give reliable performance for wet roads and braking. The tyres should give stable handling and comfort as well as low road noise to assist Proace with the demands of daily use. Proace tyres should also have the correct load and speed ratings as per the Toyota specification in relation to the use expected of the van.

As tyre size on the Proace varies with generation, trim, engines and wheel options, so does the fitment on each model. Proace tyres can be identified through the existing tyre sidewall, consumer handbook, or vehicle registration. The right specification of Proace tyres retains handling and braking, comfort and safety when transporting equipment or people.

Tyres.co.uk allows users to book a local fitting for Proace tyres by comparing available options by brand and performance.

Michelin Agilis CrossClimate

Generally good performance with a strong grip in wet and dry conditions. Winter weather performance is far superior to that of summer tyres.

I have yet to test them in conditions that require additional grip. Nonetheless, the grip design provides a more comfortable and quieter ride.

I bought these for the second time because the first set lasted my car 4 years and 45,000 miles. They are quite and very good on countryside paths, Cornish lanes, and wet muddy fields. I've never been left stranded or lost traction. Very happy.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo

There are no issues so far, and the grip in the wet is definitely better. How they wear is a matter of time, so we'll see then. The older set from the local garage Ludlow only lasted 3,000 miles in 8 months before they were worn out. fingers crossed these last longer.

Great tyres and so simple to fit. Last up to 25,000 miles and can take a lot of time spent on construction sites. We always go for these tyres on our vans. Good value for money.

Questions About Buying Toyota Proace Tyres

According to Tyres.co.uk, current Active and Icon models of Toyota Proace can be fitted with either Michelin Agilis 3 or Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2 in 215/65 R16C. The Proace Design reaches 215/60 R17C, so check the registration, door label load index, and speed rating before purchasing.

Each tyre for the Toyota Proace contains information in the sidewall for the tyre size. For the factory fitment specific to the vehicle, we can look on the tyre pressure label found on the driver-side door. This label has the correct tyre pressures, so it may also have different fitments for load or wheel configurations.

Generally, not all Tyres of a Toyota Proace will need to be replaced, but in cases where two tyres need replacing, safety recommendations state the two new tyres should be installed to the rear axle. As the Proace range (including the Proace Electric) is all front-wheel drive and has no factory four-wheel-drive, there is no requirement to replace all tyres. All models of the Proace range must have the same matching tyres of similar size and construction, load index and speed rating on the front and rear axles.
