Mercedes C-Class Tyres

Tyres for the Mercedes C-Class are designed for a premium compact executive range suitable for work, school and family journeys. Traditionally, C-Class vehicles have been available in saloon and estate variants. The different trim, engine, and factory wheel options affect the different tyre needs. Most C-Class driving in the UK would benefit from a tyre that would provide wet grip and braking predictability. If comfort and low cabin noise are the priorities, then a touring tyre would be more suitable. For an improvement in steering feel, a more performance-oriented tyre should be selected.

Tyres for the Mercedes C-Class differ by different generations and model years, different body styles, trims, engines and different factory wheel options. Keeping the C-Class tyres within the correct size, load index and speed rating also helps maintain safety and comfort. The best way to determine the correct fitment prior to purchasing the tyres is to inspect the current tyres, the vehicle manual, or check the vehicle's registration.

Tyres.co.uk allows the user to view all the tyres compatible with the Mercedes C-Class, offers a range of prices for the different brands, and provides performance characteristics of the available tyres. From this information, users can choose the best option for them and arrange fitting in an appropriate location.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5)
Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5) 225/50R17
5.00/5
I feel great. The wear seems to be even and they have plenty of tread remaining. I was a little worried about having a hybrid because the batteries make it a little heavier.

The existing tyres are doing an adequate job but my expectations for how long the front tyres would last were higher. Most of my driving is local, and there are a lot of roundabouts in this area.

Avon ZV7 tyres provide excellent performance on the wet country roads and the rainy weather where I drive. They help with fuel economy and last a long time before needing to be changed. I feel confident driving on them and plan to put them on the back of my car soon. They are great value for a mid-range tyre.

Before You Buy Mercedes C-Class Tyres: FAQ

The Mercedes C-Class tyre options at Tyres.co.uk include the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 and the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 in 225/45 R18 95Y XL, which come as standard for W206 Saloon and Estate 18-inch wheel variants. Please check the registration, fuel-filler-flap placard, and front/rear wheel arrangements prior to ordering, as different C-Class variants have different specifications.

Information regarding the tyre size of the Mercedes C-Class can be found on the tyre-pressure table located on the inside of the fuel-filler flap. The information lists approved tyre sizes and pressures and, when applicable, separate fitments for front and rear tyres. Also check the sidewall of the tyre, but for the load index, speed rating, XL or run-flat spec, and the other aforementioned criteria, consult the placard on the fuel-filler flap as well as the handbook.

Mercedes C-Class typically does not require all four new tyres. In accordance with UK tyre safety guidance, you should replace tyres in matching axle pairs and fit a new pair on the rear axle. Mercedes C-Class 4MATIC models must keep the approved wheel and tyre combinations and use the same type and make of tyres, as well as retain any factory staggered front and rear sizes.
