Mercedes AMG Tyres
Mercedes AMG is Mercedes-Benz’s dedicated performance range, comprising a wide variety of generations, body styles and distinct chassis and engine combinations. Factory fitted wheels are also included. Mercedes AMG tyres should have a balance of superb and dependable wet grip, solid braking and sharp steering response to match the driving dynamics of the cars, while also being engineered to be comfortable, reduce road noise and enhance efficiency during longer journeys.
Tyres for Mercedes AMG have specific requirements for every model year, generation, specific AMG model and its variants (i.e. Engine and trims), and the original equipment wheels. The correct Mercedes AMG tyres need to be verified for the vehicle because there is no one size fits all. The most reliable sources of compatible specifications that also consider safety, comfort and performance are the tyre sidewall, vehicle owner’s manual and vehicle registration.
Tyres.co.uk allows Mercedes AMG owners to compare specific tyres based on price, brand and performance, and allows them to book a fitting for the best time and place.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S
Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 225/35R19
I have had excellent performance with these tyres in all kinds of weather. The grip is excellent and the ride quality of my E89 Z4 improved noticeably as soon as I changed from the original run flats.

They boost your confidence during cornering and braking and offer excellent grip in every type of weather.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 245/35R19
The tyres are excellent. However, the price has increased quite a lot. A nail went through the tread within a week. I will still choose Tyres.co.uk in the future.

Great! Just be careful if it's rainy.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 245/35R20
I read some great reviews and decided to buy some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres for my road-legal track car, a Mazda RX8. These tyres offer great dry road handling and responsiveness just like other ultra-high-performance tyres that I have experienced. I won't be testing these tyres on wet roads and I suspect that they may not perform will on wet roads based on my assumption of their tread design. On the track these tyres excel. I specifically compared these tyres Cup2s with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports and noted a small but confident improvement in stability and grip. I would track recommend track use.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 305/30R20
My main use for these tyres is sprints and track days. When it comes to dry weather conditions, they are absolutely superb, however, when it comes to wet or damp conditions, I fear the risk too much when I am pushing my Porsche Cayman S to the limit. On average roads, they are decent but I am considering going for something a bit more durable next time, maybe a Pirelli Trofeo.

Great in a bit of rain, rubbish when it's pouring - but truly amazing on warm dry days.

Doesn't grip the road as well when wet, but does great when the road is dry.

Avon ZV7
Tyre review for Avon ZV7 225/40R18
Fits the rim well, and is mid-range quality and pricing.

Tyre review for Avon ZV7 225/50R17
The existing tyres are doing an adequate job but my expectations for how long the front tyres would last were higher. Most of my driving is local, and there are a lot of roundabouts in this area.

Tyre review for Avon ZV7 225/45R17
They are beautiful tyres, and they help me to be confident and calm when driving. If only the roads were built to the same standard!

Tyre review for Avon ZV7 215/45R17
Avon ZV7 tyres provide excellent performance on the wet country roads and the rainy weather where I drive. They help with fuel economy and last a long time before needing to be changed. I feel confident driving on them and plan to put them on the back of my car soon. They are great value for a mid-range tyre.

Continental Sport Contact 6
Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 6 295/30R20
While the tyres do offer a good amount of traction in rainy and dry climates, I have noticed that they do seem to wear out a bit faster than others.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 6 255/40R20
I notice that they are more subdued on the motorway, and they also give a good ride on various surfaces.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 6 295/35R20
All in all, they give a good performance. I can notice when the air pressure is low and I have already had one punctured by a nail!!

For your Mercedes AMG GT, Tyres.co.uk sells the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S as well as the Pirelli P Zero (PZ5) which are sized 255/35 ZR19 96Y XL (front) and 295/35 ZR19 104Y XL (rear) for the 2015-2020 GT's factory 19-inch rims. Please double check the specs, registration, and staggered axle fitment before purchasing these tyres.
Tyre info is marked on the sides of the tyres. Meanwhile, the fitment table and tyre pressure for the Mercedes AMG GT can be found behind the fuel cover. The B pillar on the driver's side houses the tyre and loading placard. This is visible when the door is open.
Only replacing two tyres for fitting is necessary when servicing your Mercedes AMG GT. Since the 2015-2020 GT is a rear-wheel drive and does not have the 4MATIC version, four matching tyres would not be necessary. When tyres are replaced, they must be placed according to the staggered fitment pattern. Safety dicates that when new pairs are placed, they be placed on the rear axle.
