Mercedes CLK Tyres

The Mercedes CLK is a great car for everyday driving as well as longer trips. A set of tyres for the CLK ought to provide good wet grip and help the driver control the car while braking. Touring-focused tyres like those on the CLK prioritise ride comfort, reduced road noise and improved efficiency.

Tyre sizes will differ for each generation and model year of the Mercedes CLK. The correct Mercedes CLK tyres improve handling as well as comfort and safety of the car when the size of the tyre, load index, and speed rating meet the factory standards of the car. Reading the sidewall of the existing tyres, the car's user manual, or the car's registration info can provide the correct fitment.

At Tyres.co.uk, potential customers can review performance, price, and brand information to compare different tyre choices. They can also arrange the local installation of the tyres they select.

Fits the rim well, and is mid-range quality and pricing.

The existing tyres are doing an adequate job but my expectations for how long the front tyres would last were higher. Most of my driving is local, and there are a lot of roundabouts in this area.

They are beautiful tyres, and they help me to be confident and calm when driving. If only the roads were built to the same standard!

Avon ZV7 tyres provide excellent performance on the wet country roads and the rainy weather where I drive. They help with fuel economy and last a long time before needing to be changed. I feel confident driving on them and plan to put them on the back of my car soon. They are great value for a mid-range tyre.

Wonderful, I always put Michelin on my Porsche as they are the best tyres for it, plus they have the Porsche 'N' rating.

Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2
Tyre review for Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 255/40R20

The tyres are great in any weather. Heavy rain also does not impact cornering and braking. I haven't tested the tyres in deep snow and based on the tread I would expect only average performance.

Because of their value, I have always chosen Dunlop sports. As a mechanic, I have worked with a lot of different tyres and these are by far the best.

Kumho Ecsta PS71
Tyre review for Kumho Ecsta PS71 255/40R17
5.00/5
Initially, the tyres were fitted during pleasant weather, and they impressed us with their grip and silence. They were much better than the cheap ones we had before. Now, with the cold snap, they are also handling brilliantly with ice, so we look forward to seeing how they will do when the snow comes.

Great traction on wet and dry surfaces and the tread holds up well. They could be slightly noisier than the Pirelli ones I had before, though the better performance compensates for that.

Mercedes CLK Tyres: Your Questions, Answered

According to Tyres.co.uk, the 2003-2005 CLK 240 Cabriolet comes equipped with Michelin Primacy 4+ and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 (fronts: 205/55 R16 91V and rears: 225/50 R16 92Y). Confirm vehicle registration as wheel options and fitment vary.

The size of the Mercedes CLK tyres can be found on the tyre pressure sticker in the fuel filler cap on the right-hand rear of the car. The sticker has all approved dimensions and tyre pressures. Also check the sidewall of the tyres and the handbook as tyres fitments and generations of the Mercedes CLK wheel options can vary and there can be front and rear tyres that are staggered.

It is not necessary to replace all four tyres, as factory Mercedes CLKs are rear-wheel drive, so they do not have a drivetrain-based four tyre matching rule. As CLKs have staggered wheels it is imperative to maintain the factory front and rear tyre fitment. If you are replacing two tyres on the same axle, as per UK safety recommendations, the two should be placed on the rear axle.
