Mercedes SLC Tyres

As a two-seat retractable hardtop roadster, the Mercedes SLC requires specific tyres for driving on UK roads. These must provide excellent grip and handling with quick stops. SLC tyres are specifically designed for handling and comfort on longer motorway drives and feature lowered road noise. Performance tyres can give added performance for the rear-wheel drive system.

Each individual Mercedes SLC requires its specific tyre fitment as each individual model year, trim, and factory wheel option can alter the tyre size. The correct tyre size, load index, and speed rating can be confirmed by the current tyre's sidewall, the vehicle's handbook, or the vehicle's registration online. The balance of handling, comfort, and braking performance of the vehicle can only be achieved by matching these specifications.

Drivers of the Mercedes SLC can go to Tyres.co.uk and set their preferences for the brands and prices of the tyres. Drivers can also book the fitting appointment that works best for them.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5)
Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5) 225/50R17

I feel great. The wear seems to be even and they have plenty of tread remaining. I was a little worried about having a hybrid because the batteries make it a little heavier.

Mercedes SLC Tyres: Frequently Asked Questions

Tyres.co.uk sells Mercedes SLC tyres with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 and Pirelli P Zero (PZ5) in the staggered fitment of SLC 300; 225/40 ZR18 92Y XL front and 245/35 ZR18 rear. Make sure that you check the required load and speed indexes based on the registration when placing your order.

The Mercedes SLC tyre size information can be found in the tyre pressure table on the fuel-filler flap. Check the table to see the permitted tyre sizes. The tyre and loading information placard is located on the driver side of the B-pillar. Check the information there versus the sidewall of your tyres.

Due to the drivetrain, the Mercedes SLC doesn't need all four tyres replaced at the same time. Each model of the SLC is equipped with rear wheel drive. Mercedes states that each axle should carry the same tyre dimensions and, where possible, the same make and model. Replace tyres as an axle pair. Because the front and rear sizes differ, a new pair goes on the axle it belongs on.
