Still breaking them in but I'm already seeing less skidding on the damp roundabouts!

Tyre review for Pirelli P Zero 225/40R19

These are run flat tyres, and I chose to stay with the same brand as came with the car. They're not the quietest and could roll better, but your prices were competitive and the garage down the road did a good job fitting them.

Observed a higher amount of noise from the road when driving.

The Pirellis are doing really well. They are certainly much better than my last Continentals, especially at providing a more confident feeling at the front when it is raining.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5)
Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5) 225/50R17
5.00/5
I feel great. The wear seems to be even and they have plenty of tread remaining. I was a little worried about having a hybrid because the batteries make it a little heavier.

Yokohama Advan Sport V105
Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 235/40R19
3.00/5
I have used these tyres before as they were on the car when I purchased it, and they do their job as expected. That said, there are some cracks along the centre of the tread.

The supercharged Lotus Elise has these tyres. They were reliable at my most recent track day. They showed little to no fading and grip loss. A bit of graining at the end of the day meant that I had a great time! Even after 40 minutes of full power on the track, the tyres were consistent.

Popular Questions About Mercedes SL-Class Tyres

Mercedes SL-Class tyre options at Tyres.co.uk include Michelin Pilot Sport 5 and Pirelli P Zero 255/40 R18 99Y XL for the 2008 SL 280, SL 350, and SL 500 with factory 18-inch square fitment. This exceeds the original 95W requirement; confirm the registration, as other wheel options may be staggered or run-flat.

The Mercedes SL-Class tyre information placard can be found on the driver's side B-pillar, and is visible when the door is open. The tyre pressure table is found inside the fuel filler flap, and the full size, load index and speed ratings are moulded on each sidewall of the tyres. Please confirm the fitted wheel option, as SL-Class specifications can vary.

It is not typical for all four tyres to be replaced on Mercedes SL-Class models; replacement is done in pairs per axle, and factory staggered front and rear sizes should be retained. Earlier generations of the SL-Class are rear-wheel drive, but it is necessary for the R232 SL 55 and SL 63 4MATIC+ to have an approved matching tyre combination on all axles. When replacing two tyres, the new tyres are to be fitted to the rear axle.
