Mercedes V-Class Tyres

The Mercedes V-Class combines high-end style with the functionality of a people carrier, making it fit for everything from family trips to business transfers. One of the key focuses for the V-Class would be ride comfort for both short journeys in town and longer trips on the motorway. For the day to day running of the V-Class, having the right tyres would also aid the efficiency of the vehicle.

Given the multiple generations and variations of the Mercedes V-Class, there is not a one-size-fits-all solution for fitments on the V-Class. When looking to purchase new tyres for your V-Class, you should check the size, load index, and speed rating of your specific vehicle. These details can be found on the sidewall of the current tyres, in the vehicle handbook, or on your vehicle registration. Having the correct specification is important for safety when carrying loads, as well as in providing comfort for both the driver and passengers.

Tyres.co.uk gives owners the ability to view all options on V-Class specific tyres available, segmented by brand and price in addition to giving them the performance graphs. This is all done prior to booking a local fitting. Ensuring the vehicle specification is met allows the owner to continue enjoying versatility offered by the V-Class.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5)
Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5) 225/50R17
5.00/5
I feel great. The wear seems to be even and they have plenty of tread remaining. I was a little worried about having a hybrid because the batteries make it a little heavier.

Avon ZX7
Tyre review for Avon ZX7 245/45R19
3.00/5
As the fitter stated, the Avons began to crack at the bottom of the grooves at about 15,000 miles, despite having plenty of tread. I have now returned to Michelin Crossclimate 2, which I was unable to obtain previously.

Mercedes V-Class Tyre Questions Answered

Tyres.co.uk lists Michelin Primacy 5 and Continental PremiumContact 6 in 235/55 R17 103W XL for the Mercedes V-Class 2021 4MATIC model with 17-inch factory wheels. Please note, prior to placing an order, the exact specifications (size, load, speed and XL rating) should be confirmed along with the vehicle registration.

The Mercedes V-Class tyre size information can be found on the vehicle's tyre pressure placard located on the fuel filler flap. The following table lists approved combinations of wheels and tyres and their corresponding tyre pressures. In the handbook and on the sidewall of the tyres, the factory wheel options will show the different load index and speed symbol ratings. These should be compared.

The Mercedes V-Class does not require the same size or tread pattern on both axles, but the tyres should match across each axle. Mercedes also recommends the same tyre brand and design, and this applies to 4MATIC versions front and rear. When replacing two tyres, install the new tyres on the rear wheels.
