Mercedes G-Class Tyres

The Mercedes G-Class has a four wheel drive system that can take control of the road, provide reliable wet traction, and give strong stopping power for long drives. Mercedes G-Class tyres should give a balanced combination of ride comfort, handling, and road noise. The large body of the G-Class requires to be fitted to tyres of the correct load index and speed rating for compatibility.

Due to the many variables of a Mercedes G-Class, the only way to know the proper size tyre for your specific vehicle is by the current sidewall of the tyre, the vehicle handbook, or your car's registration. The G-Class has specific standards for handling, comfort, and safety, and the correct specification supports those.

Tyres.co.uk gives Mercedes G-Class owners the information to safely compare prices, and performance of different tyre models for their vehicle before booking a convenient, nearby professional tyre change at their location of choice.

Undoubtedly, these are better than the budget tyres fitted by the garage. They seem to perform at the level as my previously used Pzero Neros.

I switched from BMW's run-flat tyres to regular tyres because my car was all over the place on uneven roads. Ever since I changed to Dunlop tyres, my car handles bumps way better, and the noise from the tyres is substantially quieter. The grip, too, is vastly better than before when it comes to wet conditions. I really recommend these tyres to anyone who has a 330 or 325 with 17" wheels.

Great. My previous tyres constantly received punctures but since I have not had a single one, and they look great. I just got a new truck and I am looking forward to have these tyres on it again.

These tyres are amazing, and I feel confident driving in any weather conditions. I live in a cottage on a remote Scottish hillside and these tyres always get me home, snow, ice, mud and heavy rain are no problem for these tyres. I've had them for a year and they show no signs of wear.

Works well in the rain, however, can be unreliable in colder temperatures because the rubber will harden which lessens grip.

I have experienced no problems with these tyres in dry, wet, snowy, or muddy off-road scenarios. They're also surprisingly quieter than tyres from other brands I have used.

The tyres seem to wear out at an average/European rate. The pattern appears to have more flex/movement in the actual tread, as if it's bending. They are good in the colder months, but I have yet to test them in any significant snow. Fuel efficiency has decreased slightly by around 2-3%.

I only wear these in winter. They performed decently last year in all the rain.

Mercedes G-Class Tyres: Common Questions

Mercedes G-Class tyre options at Tyres.co.uk include the Michelin CrossClimate SUV and Pirelli Scorpion All Season SF3 in 265/60 R18 114V XL, a factory-approved fitment for current G 450 d, G 500 and G 580 models. Confirm the exact wheel option, load index, speed rating and XL specification against the registration before ordering.

Mercedes G-Class tyre sizes and pressure guidelines are located on the tyre-pressure table inside the fuel-filler flap. The table is specific to your vehicle, so compare it to the markings on the fitted tyre or the Certificate of Conformity, especially if optional wheel packages have been fitted.

Mercedes G-Class vehicles do not always require four new tyres, however, due to their four wheel drive systems, the tread patterns, size and types of tyres need to match and be identical across all four wheels. Therefore, all four tyres must be replaced if any of the tyres would cause a significant difference in rolling circumference. If only two tyres need replacing, and a tread pattern/size match is possible, the new tyres should be fitted to the rear axle in accordance with UK tyre safety guidelines.
