The Dunlop SP SportMaxx is a summer tyre designed to improve performance at speed and in the corners. It employs a 10-radius tread with the aim of dispersing the pressure more evenly on the contact patch when the tyre is cornering. Dunlop calls this technology Multi-Radius Tread technology. It keeps the entire width of the tread engaged in the corner. To counter the shape of the tyre at high speeds, Dunlop employs their patented Jointless Band technology. It consists of a spiral-wound nylon layer around the belt package, which helps the tyre casing retain its shape.
Dunlop’s Silica-Plus compound helps the tyre maintain performance with good grip on wet roads and improves fuel economy with lower rolling resistance. A few models have the sidewall tags AO or MO. This means they were produced for the Audi or Mercedes-Benz specifications and are not just aftermarket tyres for those cars. At Tyres.co.uk, we have the Dunlop SP SportMaxx, including the runflat version.
