SP Sport BluResponse Tyres description & features

The Dunlop SP Sport BluResponse focuses on lower rolling resistance and improvement in wet braking. Designed for better performance during the everyday drive, the BluResponse uses a silica Compound that holds onto wet surfaces. The design combines Short Braking Block technology and Closed Edge Noise Reduction design. The SP Sport BluResponse also uses an Aero Shape design.

The SP Sport BluResponse is the successor to the Dunlop FastResponse line of tyres. The BluResponse line is also available in an XL Reinforced version for cars that need to carry more weight. The BluResponse is designed to perform in temperatures above 7 degrees. Tyres.co.uk sells the Dunlop SP Sport BluResponse including the XL Reinforced versions.

Although there hasn't been a lot of snow in East Anglia recently, I think these tyres will perform well in the snow. I don't drive that fast because I like to conserve fuel, and with how expensive petrol is, I drive even slower. On another note, the fitting process could have been better. I made an appointment, but I had to wait over two and a half hours because they took a break for lunch.

Compared to the Turanzas, you have noticeably more confidence when driving in the rain with the BluResponses and their grip in the rain is much better. However, these tyres do struggle in snow, and the front tyres have poor performance when it comes to maintaining traction in snow. My current car came with Turanzas on all wheels and my other cars with Turanzas and Continentals were able to drive into ski centre access roads and car parks much better (such as The Lecht and Glenshee).

After 12 years of great service from Dunlop Sport Fast Response, it was time for something new. I had the wheels refurbished and briefly considered other brands, but went with Dunlop once again, and am happy I did. I am now driving on BluResponse and it has the same excellent grip and cornering feel as the Dunlop SPort Fast Response, although I expect things may change when if I experience driving it in the wet. The tyre noise is very low and is well integrated with all the other noises from the car.

They did a good job. Manchester has a lot of rain, and ever since I got these new tyres, I've noticed a huge difference in how my car drives in wet weather. I'm very pleased with my selection and the service was wonderful. The fitter recommended getting the rear wheels aligned after removing the old tyres since the wear was uneven!
