Alfa Romeo Giulia Tyres

As a sporting executive saloon the Alfa Romeo Giulia should have tyres that enhance its rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive layout with improved wet grip, braking and steering. However, for the more common journey the Giulia’s character can be enhanced with tyres that prioritise comfort, noise and rolling resistance.

Tyre sizes for the Alfa Romeo Giulia can change depending on generation, trim, engine and factory wheel options including standard and performance. The existing tyre, vehicle handbook or registration details, will validate the correct Alfa Romeo Giulia fitment including size, load index and speed rating. To maintain the original handling, comfort and safety for that version of the Giulia, this specification should be adhered to.

Tyres.co.uk allows Alfa Romeo Giulia drivers to compare options available to them then choose tyres to suit their requirements with respect to brand, price, and performance. Customers can then arrange for the tyres to be fitted locally at a participating centre.

I have had excellent performance with these tyres in all kinds of weather. The grip is excellent and the ride quality of my E89 Z4 improved noticeably as soon as I changed from the original run flats.

The tyres are excellent. However, the price has increased quite a lot. A nail went through the tread within a week. I will still choose Tyres.co.uk in the future.

I have been fitting these tyres to my Jag XF for some time and they have proven themselves. One night, on an unlit country lane with dipped headlights and doing over 50 mph, a cow appeared out of nowhere and was standing right in front of me! There was no time to react, so I swerved the wheel all the way to the right to dodge it, and then to the left to stay on my side. The car remained perfectly under control all the way through and the cow and my passengers remained unharmed!

At the start, this may feel a bit slack, but when you warm up, it feels like you are driving on railway sleepers. With some heat in the tyres, it feels like I am driving a different car altogether.

I suspect my fuel economy is worse with these than with Pirelli's and they are definitely louder. I would go back to Pirelli P-Zero.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Tyres: Common Questions

Tyres.co.uk has Pirelli Cinturato P7, size 225/45 R18 91Y and Michelin Pilot Sport 5, size 225/45 R18 95W XL for 18” wheels, which suit the Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0 T4 and 2.2 JTD models. Be sure to obtain your vehicle’s registration, wheel design, and load and speed rating prior to placing your order.

You can find information about the Alfa Romeo Giulia Tyres on the placard, which you can find on the driver’s side door of the vehicle, near the hinges. The placard gives recommended tyre sizes and recommended cold tyre pressures. Note that the tyre sidewall has differing information that is best confirmed on the placard and vehicle registration.

Alfa Romeo Giulia does not automatically require four new tyres; a matched pair can be replaced on one axle if the other axle is still serviceable. Giulia Q4 all-wheel-drive versions should have the front and rear tyres kept similarly matched in design and wear. When replacing two tyres, the UK safety recommendation is to fit them on the rear axle.
