R330 Tyres description & features

The Winrun R330 is a summer performance tyre featuring an asymmetric tread design to aid in the movement of standing water. Fitted on the outer shoulder is a tread design with a solid outer shoulder to add support to the tyre while cornering. The R330 also features a unique water evacuation system whereby longitudinal grooves are connected to slanted channels to create an exit path for water to leave the contact patch.

When the tyre is in use, the solid outer shoulder ads support to the tyre and the exits vacate the water from the road surface. This innovation is the summer performance focus for the R330. Here at Tyres.co.uk, we supply the Winrun R330.

Highlights

  • Asymmetric tread design
  • Solid outer shoulder
  • Water evacuation grooves

The rubber completely wore out and exploded after just 3 months. These are the worst tyres I've ever owned. I've never seen tyres decompose to the level these ones did. These tyres are complete rubbish, even old re-treads from the junkyard are better then this. Will never spend another dime on these.

These tyres do the job well enough, as they were cheap, produced little road noise, and my previous set lasted me over three years, provided good grip, and road expected how they should.

Fitted these to my Focus in the spring and they have been fine so far. Grip is decent in the wet and they are quieter than the budget set I had before. Not the last word in cornering but for the money I have no real complaints.

If you do not want to spend much, these tyres are decent for city use, but for rural trips I would consider other options. Also, I have noticed that the soft sidewalls would deter me from buying them.

Tyre review for Winrun R330 225/50R16
We have these tyres on multiple family cars that experience differing day to day driving. For the value, we change these tyres often (approximately every 6 months), so the price works out well. The concern is the thin sidewall compared to the potential road hazards. Nevertheless, we have used worse and felt no desire to change brands. They are also average for braking, cornering, and lifespan, and handle poor in wet driving conditions. Quiet driving is not an issue for us. Sporty driving also is not a consideration with speed limits, road surfaces, and traffic. While we could put more money into tyres, with our other priorities and interests, the small changes that could be made do not seem worth it.

Tyre review for Winrun R330 225/35R19
These are budget tyres so set your expectations accordingly. They're not going to provide the grip and dependability of better-known brands. If you drive with caution, especially when driving in wet conditions, you may get a decent amount of wear out of them. However, be careful, as they may lose grip if you drive aggressively in the corner, sudden brake, or quick acceleration.

Consider my Winrun tyres as an example of excellent value. They have never let me down and are more durable than my previous more expensive Yokohama tyres. Winrun tyres perform awesome in the wet and dry, so I am very happy with them. I always buy them from Tyres.co.uk.

Tyre review for Winrun R330 235/50R17
I haven't had any issues after two months with the tyres, no matter if the road conditions are dry or a little wet. I think the tread pattern suited for a 245x35x19 XL low profile type looks good. I guess it's too early to say how long they'll last, but I'm optimistic. A clear benefit is that I have only paid about half of what I would have for a top brand tyre.

It isn't great when it comes to grip in wet weather and even in dry conditions when you put these tyres in the corner and apply power they can still slide which is not great for a 255-wide tyre. I put them on the back of my Mercedes C250 CDI.

These tyres are much quieter and provide better grip. The Winrun tyres stayed gripped while the Bridgestone tyres slipped on to a metal grate. Also, the Bridgestone tyres made a squealing noise on the smooth concrete while the Winrun tyres were completely silent.

Tyre review for Winrun R330 235/40R19
Having been on the road for over 50 years, I've used just about every major tyre brand available, such as Goodyear, Dunlop, and Michelin. For this reason, I chose to try Winrun tyres because I appreciated the price and the reviews seemed decent enough. This turned out to be a poor decision. While they do perform adequately in dry conditions, they should not be used in the wet. The lack of grip on these tyres made them downright dangerous, and I've experienced all forms of wheel spin and poor control, including unders steer and over steer. I'm honestly shocked these tyres pass the Australian standards. After six months of using them, I decided that my safety was worth more than the cost of new tyres so I replaced them with Bridgestone run-flats. The difference in wet conditions and safety was a substantial improvement, even if it cost me more than the Winrun tyres. I do not recommend these tyres at all.

When these are brand new, they are great. As soon as they're halfway gone, it is like skating on ice when it is wet. On dry roads, they are totally fine (although they are getting louder as they wear down).

The Winrun 330XL tyres are excellent value considering their price of £120 per tyre. I have a BMW 7 Series which has 19" wheels and is very heavy. These tyres provide great traction in both dry and wet conditions and are quite. They have lasted 15,500 miles on the rear and 31,100 miles on the front.
