Renault Clio Tyres

The Renault Clio is a small supermini that is part of an extensive series of hatchbacks, some of which include estate versions. Renault Clio tyres are versatile. They are suitable for regular town driving, commuting and longer journeys on the motorway. They provide for reliable wet weather grip and braking in changeable UK weather. Thos tyres should be sufficient for daily driving and will provide low comfort and road noise. Renault Clio tyres are also capable of providing the right amount of steering response for driving in town.

Renault Clio tyres vary by generation and model and therefore there is no generic application across the range. To correctly fit Renault Clio tyres, a Clio has to have tyres of the same size, load index and speed rating. Sidewalls of the existing Clio tyres, the owner’s manual and/or vehicle registration documents will indicate the appropriate tyre fitment. Incorrect fitment of tyres can negatively affect the Renault Clio’s performance and safety.

Drivers of Renault Clio’s can go on to Tyres.co.uk to check for available Clio tyres and book a local fitting.

Kumho Ecsta PS71
Tyre review for Kumho Ecsta PS71 255/40R17
5.00/5
Initially, the tyres were fitted during pleasant weather, and they impressed us with their grip and silence. They were much better than the cheap ones we had before. Now, with the cold snap, they are also handling brilliantly with ice, so we look forward to seeing how they will do when the snow comes.

Enhanced grip on wet surfaces and they are quiet.

Great traction on wet and dry surfaces and the tread holds up well. They could be slightly noisier than the Pirelli ones I had before, though the better performance compensates for that.

I replaced the two rear tyres after doing the front ones and one tyre from the front and back needs to be inflated every 6 to 8 weeks.

So far, they've been great and quieter than I thought they would be.

The front tyres will most likely need to be replaced soon, while the rears are about halfway worn. Traction in wet conditions is good and the wear seems to be what would be expected.

Fits the rim well, and is mid-range quality and pricing.

The existing tyres are doing an adequate job but my expectations for how long the front tyres would last were higher. Most of my driving is local, and there are a lot of roundabouts in this area.

They are beautiful tyres, and they help me to be confident and calm when driving. If only the roads were built to the same standard!

Avon ZV7 tyres provide excellent performance on the wet country roads and the rainy weather where I drive. They help with fuel economy and last a long time before needing to be changed. I feel confident driving on them and plan to put them on the back of my car soon. They are great value for a mid-range tyre.

Renault Clio Tyres: Everything You Need to Know

The UK's Tyres.co.uk offers Clio owners the option of the Bridgestone Turanza 6 87V or the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 87H in 195/55 R16 to fit the current 16-inch wheel variant. Renault specifies 87H for this fitment, so please ensure you check the registration and the driver's side door label before you select the tyres, and ensure the tyres selected meet or exceed the required load and speed rating.

Renault Clio owners can also find the tyre sizes on the tyre pressure placard. It is located on the driver's side door edge. Instructions for the correct tyre size and the recommended pressure and speed are also printed on the placard. If the Clio has been equipped with alternative wheel options, you can look for instructions on the sidewall of the tyres.

Replacement of all four tyres on a Renault Clio is rare. It is recommended to replace tyre pairs on an axle. No Renault Clio (including the rear-wheel drive Clio V6) is designated as all-wheel drive. According to UK safety standards, driving conditions also recommend placing two new tyres on the rear axle.
