Renault Zoe Tyres

The Renault Zoe is a popular urban electric vehicle for commuting, therefore it should have optimal wet grip as well as low road noise and stable braking tyres that can perform well in the unpredictable UK weather. Ideally tyres for the Zoe would improve rolling resistance to make the most of its electric drive and provide a comfortable ride for both town and motorway use.

Several variations do occur in tyre sizes depending on the year of production, generation, trim, motor option and the factory wheel on the Renault Zoe. For this reason, it is important to confirm the correct fitment for each individual vehicle. The correct size for each Renault Zoe can be verified by checking the tyre sidewall, vehicle handbook or registration documents. Regarding performance, safety and comfort, the tyre size affects the handling of the vehicle.

Tyres.co.uk provides prospective Renault Zoe owners the opportunity to compare various brands and tiers of tyres as well as pricing. This information is provided to customers so that they can get their tyres fitted at a local garage.

Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 E 185/50R16

Similar performance on wet and dry roads means there is a small reduction in road noise making it a little quieter. I was happy with the fuel consumption of the Continentals, however the Michelins are proving better, adding a slight improvement in fuel consumption.

Renault Zoe Tyre FAQs

At Tyres.co.uk, tyre options for Renault Zoe include the Michelin Primacy 4 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 in 195/55 R16, which is also one of the factory fitments for Zoe, other than 185/65 R15 and 205/45 R17. Since the battery is heavier than a petrol supermini, confirm the load index with regards to the registration.

The information about tyre sizes for Renault Zoe can be found on a placard located at the driver's door opening that is visible when the door is opened. It shows the approved tyre sizes and the recommended cold pressure for those sizes. The sidewall of the tyre that is fitted has the same markings as those on the placard, including size, load index, and speed rating.

Because the Renault Zoe is front wheel drive, it is not usually the case that all four tyres need replacing together. We recommend replacing at least one pair on the same axle, ensuring they are the same make, size and tread pattern, and fitting the newer pair to the rear. The weight of the battery and instant torque can wear the front tyres more quickly.
