The Michelin Primacy 4 E is a high-end summer tyre interested in consistently high performance in wet braking even as the tyre wears down. Specifically, Michelin's EverGrip Technologies reinforce this goal and feature a combination of a special rubber compound and a unique design. This design helps channel water away from the tread even as the tyre wears down. This is accomplished through the design revealing additional grooves as rubber wears down. Unlike standard rubber compounds, the Michelin Primacy 4 E retains performance even as the tread shrinks.
Michelin also claims the worn grooves of the Primacy 4 E leave 22% greater space for water evacuation. They even claim that when worn down to the legal limit, this tyre has a braking distance of 2.8m less than its competitors. The Primacy 4 is the successor to the Primacy 3, and the Primacy 4+ is an even newer tyre in this family. You can find the Michelin Primacy 4 E on Tyres.co.uk.
