The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect DT is a road-legal track-day tyre with specific characteristics to run repeat dry laps. In contrast with the first track tyres, the Connect technology allows for managing tyre pressure for each lap and each session. With the help of Bi-Compound Technology, a high-molecular-chain elastomer is located on the outer shoulder while the rigid block technology is used. The inner shoulder is made using a separate Rigid-Elastomer compound with edge technology and grooves to discharge standing water.
The Track Connect system also uses wheel sensors to pass information about the pressure and temperature to the Michelin app throughout a session.
