The Michelin Pilot Sport AS tyre is a multi-season, ultra-high-performance option. These tyres can easily cut through light snow, thanks to Michelin's Helio+ compound. This seasonal tyre remains flexible during colder months because of their unique combination of silica and sunflower oil. This tyre design includes large outer corner blocks with middle ribs to assist the wall of the tyre retain its desired shape during cornering. This tyre design also includes four vertical grooves to clear water from the tread, and inner blocks with cuts to create snow biting edges. The Michelin Pilot Sport AS also includes a lightweight, stable, speed retaining steel belt system in the tyre.
Michelin's unique and patented Variable Thickness Sipes cuts into the snow tread and create snow edges. The Pilot Sport AS also has the M+S side wall marking, which indicates it can be used in Mud and Snow conditions.
