Crossclimate Camping Tyres description & features

The CrossClimate Camping tyre by Michelin is designed for leisure vehicles with a sustained load, higher centre of gravity, and the 3PMSF label for winter use. The camping tyre has a directional V tread design for improved wet weather performance. The design of the tread gives the tyre improved performance in cold, wet, and lightly snow covered roads. The CrossClimate Camping tyre has a reinforced casing designed for sustained load. The casing is designed for the lateral forces that the tyre would experience over the course of a touring holiday.

The CrossClimate Camping tyre by Michelin has the 3PMSF marking on the sidewall. This marking indicates that the tyre meets the required level of traction in snow for severe winter conditions. I haven't utilised them too much since the van has been parked a lot while I've been working on converting it into a camper, but from the limited driving I've done, the van rides a lot more smoothly and quietly. It's nice to know they do well in all weather conditions. Additionally, they look great!

Regarding our campervan's tyres, we used to have Michelin Agilis Camper tyres which were quite stiff. These new ones are much better and provide a much smoother ride and give us more confidence when driving. Our dog seems to be more relaxed as well during the drives. We'll have to see how they will handle wear and tear, but we don't do as many miles as cars so we expect to get the full six years out of them as camper tyres are suggested to last. We're really pleased to find Tyres.co.uk because we think we got a good deal compared to other stores.

Again, Michelin CrossClimates tend to be more expensive than other tyres, but I have found them to be more durable and more efficient. Even though van models are more expensive than car models or budget brand models, they justify the additional cost. Regarding road handling, they are as good as standard tyres I have had on other cars.

These tyres are quiet tyres and also provide greater handling in wet, icy, or muddy conditions, they are great for the British weather. With the brake upgrade it is difficult to distinguish how much of that is from the tyres but it is probably a combination of both. The driving experience is also a lot smoother and not as jarring over the bumpy roads. They were not the cheapest tyres available, but I definitely consider it a worthwhile investment.
