Solus HA31 Tyres description & features

The Kumho Solus HA31 is an all-season tyre for wet weather and light snow. The directional V shape tread controls both water and snow. The Solus HA31 tyre has front to back grooves and 3D sipes that create biting edges. The blocks on the outer edge are reinforced.

There are available fitments for the Solus HA31 tyre with XL reinforcement. XL tyres are capable of sustaining more load, hence have XL printed on their sidewall. The fitments can also be made for SUVs. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the XL variants of the Kumho Solus HA31.

Not fantastic as an all-season tyre. I'm not saying they're awful as an all-season because they've slightly improved grip and stability on the ice, but they're not impressive by any means. They deal well with standing water during the rain, but cornering is a risk. Unless you are going extremely slowly there is going to be understeer and sketchy handling. They certainly do not outperform summer tyres in dry conditions, and definitely do not meet my expectations. They are on my 1.6 turbo Astra that I use for work every day in every weather which is why I have all season tyres. I've got Michelin Cross Climates on our family car and I should have spent the extra money on the tyres I know to be good.

So far, I am very happy. These tyres grip the road extremely well and handle wet road surfaces excellently. Yesterday, after some frost and ice on the roads, their traction was incredible.

I certainly will not buy these tyres again. They are awful on wet roads and I'm really concerned about how they will cope with ice. I want to replace them as soon as I can. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The traction is excellent, no matter the weather conditions. There is more tyre noise than expected. Rolling resistance is higher, therefore fuel efficiency will be impacted.

These work perfectly in the snow. I try to go to the Peak District whenever it snows to go driving and walking in the snow, and these tyres have been great. I have put them on three different cars and each time I have been happy with the price.

I felt the quality of my small car improve after putting these tyres on, even with the tyres, and the suspension being average, the car is noticeably smoother to drive. The only complaint I have is the tread on the tyres collects small stones. Driving makes this create a constant ticking sound that is very irritating, especially with the windows down. Other than this I am very happy with my purchase.

This is my firs time using all-season tyres, and I have to say I am very happy with them. In the Scottish Highlands, they have managed -15° to +15° across many snowy, icy, and rainy conditions. They have performed well up to this point. I have just bought two Toyo Celsius which are the same spec and price, so I am looking forward to seeing how they compare!

Outstanding performance. Provides better dry grip over Michelin Alpin winter tyres and enhances steering precision of the car. They appear to cope well with sub zero conditions. The ride is comfortable and there is little noise produced by the tyres.

Awesome! We travel to Austria for skiing every year, and we don't want to have to change between summer and winter tyres, so we chose these ones. We bought them in June 2018 and we just got back from a drive of 3600 miles all around Europe in the summer. The car was great and the tyres looked practically brand new. I don't know how they are in snow because the summer in Europe was really hot. However, they were great in the heat, even with five people in the car and a fully loaded roof box. I will definitely get these again when the rear tyres need to be changed.
