Road Venture MT51 Tyres description & features

The Kumho Road Venture MT51 is a 4x4 tyre designed for mud and difficult off-road environments. The Operational Mud Terrain Pattern designed tread has channels that clears mud rather than gets clogged with it. Edge blocks help when climbing out of ruts and removing stones helps prevent jamming of gravel in the channels.

The construction handles the stresses of fully loaded vehicles and towing. The tread is designed to help with the management of vibration and road noise. The rugged compound extends durability and abrasiveness on off-road tracks. At Tyres.co.uk, we offer the Kumho Road Venture MT51.

Highlights

  • Mud terrain tread pattern
  • Channels clear mud
  • Edge blocks for ruts
  • Rugged off-road compound

Tyre review for Kumho Road Venture MT51 225/70R17
These tyres have excellent off-road capabilities because of their aggressive tread pattern, but they are surprisingly quiet on road surfaces.

They seem to be holding up well, but the trucks performance has changed. It tends to sway more and could start to wobble a little at higher speeds.

Tyre review for Kumho Road Venture MT51 265/70R17
There is the standard sound that one would expect, although it's not as loud as anticipated based on the profile and tread. Overall, they seem fairly good, although time will tell how they perform. (for tyres) They look great.

Tyre review for Kumho Road Venture MT51 285/70R17
As expected from an off-road and on-road versatile knobbly tyre, they are noisy. On long journeys, they warm up due to some shear heating, but they have decent longevity. With the many holes and inconsistent patches, small and local roads are in bad condition. Chunky tyres are advantageous in these scenarios. They also perform better on deeper water. I didn't want to spend a lot on expensive tyres because if a nail gets them, they can't be repaired, and that's a lot more money. Overall, these tyres have good performance for their price in comparison to anything fancier that would cost more for no benefit. I'll be doing some light off-roading with them.

Tyre review for Kumho Road Venture MT51 225/70R17
I have complete confidence in these tyres due to the design of their deep treads. They have good grip on dirt, tarmac, and muddy roads. They are All-Terrain tyres, so they cope with the everyday commute just fine.

Tyre review for Kumho Road Venture MT51 285/70R17
The front tyres got worn out in under 2,500 miles! The back tyres are fine, but this is not something I am happy about.
