The Kumho Solus HA32+ is designed to be driven all year-round. One of the goals of the design is to allow the driver to use the same set of tyres throughout the whole year. The direction of the tread design is such that grooves are front to back. There are angled channel cuts that guide water away from the part of the tyre that makes contact with the road. Slits cut across the tread add some biting edges that may help in case of slush. There are blocks at the outer edge to help support the tyre during cornering.
Versions of the tyre that are 3PMSF marked are available and will meet the standard set for use during winter. The design of the casing helps evenly distribute the load of the vehicle across the tread. This helps prevent uneven wear of the tyre, provided that the tyre is properly inflated and aligned.
