Tyre review for Kumho WinterCraft WP51
165/70R14When it comes to dry conditions and temperatures above 10°C, these budget winter tyres do not provide the same level of stability that summer or all-season tyres do. They are good for city driving and for straight driving on motorways, but not for high-speed cornering. They do a good job at dealing with standing water, and driving slowly in the rain is more comfortable. They're also noticeably more grippy on chilly mornings and frosty weather as opposed to summer tyres. I've yet to test them in the snow, but considering how well they perform in cold and wet conditions, I believe they would also do well in snowy conditions. I might consider buying high-end winter tyres in case of comfort preferences during autumn and winter days.
