Winter Contact TS830 Tyres description & features

The Continental WinterContact TS 830 is a snow and ice focused winter tyre for passenger vehicles. The TS 830 uses a combination of tightly packed tread blocks and slits to generate surface gripping edges. The slits also absorb a layer of water from ice and allow the rubber to connect to the surface while braking. Additional blocks help form edges to penetrate snow.

Continental designed the TS 830 to serve the compact and mid-range markets, whereas the performance focused segment was served by the ContiWinterContact TS 830 P. The TS 830 was succeeded by the WinterContact TS 850 in Continental’s winter tyre range. Continental WinterContact TS 830 is available at Tyres.co.uk.

So far I have been very impressed with performance across different conditions. Especially mornings with ice on the school run. The old tyres I had are on a completely different level compared to the new ones on my car. The new tyres certainly have a shorter stopping distance and are more confidence inspiring when cornering. I also have not had any slips and overall I feel much more secure. They have a great robust look to them and I suspect they will last longer than my previous set. Winter driving has become less daunting which I was not expecting. I will definitely recommend these and I have already had numerous people ask me where I got them.

Scottish winters have not been kind to my all-weather tyres and so I have chosen to switch to the Continental Winter Contact TS830 tyres, and I could not be happier with their performance. The car now feels so much more sure-footed on the icy roads and deep snow, and it drives beautifully. I have had no problems with grip so far, and I am able to climb the hilly drives with ease. I also think that they do really seem to perform well on the slushy roads and wet pavements. My long drives are now more enjoyable because I do not have to deal with noisy tyres. I would recommend these tyres to anyone who is looking for winter tyres that they can depend on.

I have had a good experience with the tyres so far. The tyres provided me with the confidence I required during winter commutes to work as they performed well on icy and wet roads. I've fitted these tyres based on some positive recommendations from friends and I definitely do not regret it. I noticed a remarkable improvement in the handling after the temperature dropped, and I could not assume it would be so noticeable when driving after fitting the tyres. The slipping and sliding on corners has vanished, and the overall control on braking has improved significantly on wet roads. I have yet to experience deep snow but these tyres seem to be more than capable in light snow conditions. As for the noise level, it's acceptable. I have used other tyres and these are definitely not the loudest. Overall, quite please with these tyres.
