Eagle F1 Supersport Tyres description & features

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport has a directional asymmetric pattern with construction reinforced for sustained high-speed performance. In addition, it makes use of Multi-Compound Technology which has dry grip rubber compound outside and wet grip rubber compound inside. It is constructed such that the outside shoulder is closed to make sure there is a firmer edge for cornering. For increased speed stability of the tread, the belt package has been reinforced with aramid and nylon.

Powerline casing technology employs advanced lightweight casing to allow better cornering and handling. The Eagle F1 SuperSport RS and R tyres are intended for track use. The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport is available at Tyres.co.uk.

I have driven 2500 miles recently across France and Spain and I have experienced all types of weather from snow in the Pyrénées, to heavy rain in Limoges, and 30°C heat in Spain and these tyres have impressed me the most. They provide excellent grip and performance in the wet, superb handling, and are quieter than my previous set. It is a little too early to comment on their wear but choosing these over the standard Michelin Pilots for a 911 is a decision I have not regretted.

These had to be replaced in four months due to rapid tread wear. They are not better than Goodyear Asymmetric 6s which I switched back to. The garage did not have the Goodyear Asymmetric 6s that I paid for. Just before cancelling, as I was about to get them fitted, they offered an "upgrade" to Eagle F1 Supersports. I was not pleased when they had to be replaced after 3-4 months. The Asymmetric 6s have much better performance in wet weather and are equally reliable in dry weather.

Compared to others, these tyres are superb value. They provide excellent grip and balance that lets you enjoy your car's handling that much more. I'm excited to see how they perform at the track compared to my other set (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2) after post lockdown. Right now, these Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSports are much cheaper than the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (they're comparable to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S), so I look forward to seeing how the performance differences are. I haven't been able to see how they perform in wet conditions, so I won't be able to comment on that.

I actually prefer that the Goodyear tyres feel stiffer compared to the usual PS4 and Powerproof. Excellent steering response and it is hard to reach their limits. Feedback and precision are much better although it is a bit harsher.

These tyres are very noisy; I had to find a place to pull over to check if they were properly inflated because I could hear them all the way from the cabin. In less than a month, two of them started to leak air. They have to be defective or counterfeit tyres because there's no possible way they passed any sort of quality control.

These tyres have really changed how my car performs. Right now, only the rear tyres have them since I'm using up the old rear tyres by pushing them to the front. The stability at the rear is significantly better than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, which felt a bit too soft at the limit. The Super Sports have increased the stiffness and stability at the rear so it feel so much better and more secure, front ones should be good too!
