The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric is a summer tyre designed for max performance. Goodyear’s Active CornerGrip Technology builds a contact area by adapting to cornering load. As a result, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric maximises the area of tyre tread in contact with the road in bends. The asymmetric design features a solid, cut-free outer zone to optimise steering while dry, and a more open inner zone featuring water-clearing channels. The racing tread compound used is a rubber blend derived from Goodyear's motorsport division.
Goodyear launched the Eagle F1 Asymmetric in 2006, and was succeeded by the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 in 2011. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, like its predecessor, featured RunOnFlat technology. This innovation allows drivers to continue using the tyre after a puncture or pressure loss for a limited driving distance. Tyres.co.uk stocks the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric RunOnFlat.
