Focused on shortening braking distances on both wet and dry surfaces, the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance SUV uses a summer road tyre design that maximises rubber contact with the road while braking. Using ActiveBraking Technology, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance SUV’s tread blocks increase the tyre’s contact surface with the road while braking. Utilising deep, water-shedding grooves and a sturdy casing to handle the weight of an SUV, the tyre’s design also helps to remove water from the tread.
Braking distance for both wet and dry surfaces has improved by 8% and 3% respectively, compared to the previous model, according to Goodyear. A balance of improved grip on wet surfaces and reduced energy consumption during regular use has been achieved by WearControl Technology.
