Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 Tyres description & features

Goodyear’s Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 design brings numerous benefits as an all-season tyre. They work effectively in all three seasons. Their handling and braking performance on dry tarmac is impressive. Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 also features the Snow Grip and Aqua Control Technologies. The former will assist in the formation of traction in inclement wintry conditions. The latter will help with the drainage and movement of water to assist in reducing aquaplaning and improve handling.

In addition, some variants of the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 come with the 3PMSF certification, which indicates that the tyre meets the legal requirements for a tyre to possess snow grip. I was impressed with the grip the tyres offered on icy roads. Although I was careful, the tyre grip gave me confidence. The tyres' performance on wet roads is also great. I haven't had the opportunity to drive in very dry conditions yet, but given how the tyres perform in wet conditions, I would forecast it to be good or very good.

You are definitely right about it improved stopping power in the cold and wet, and even better performance when it's freezing. I haven't really noticed a huge different in dry conditions when compared to other premium tyres I've used, but then I'm not a professional driver.

I think these tyres are exceptional for snow and ice. Because of my local climate, where it can change quickly, I appreciate the practicality of having all-season tyres on my vehicle year-round. I have simply driven through snow and ice without issues. They also sustained good wear over the year and provided good fuel economy. Overall, these are probably the best tyres I have ever used.

The tyres are working as expected apart from one that got a bit beaten on some bumpy local roads in Leicestershire. Otherwise, it is holding up well. Three of the tyre air caps are stuck and I am hoping the garage will deal with them on the car's service as they put the tyres on. I haven't been able to top up the air which I assume is affecting the performance and fuel consumption. I would recommend the tyres.

The feeling of stability in the car when cornering is great. Driving through puddles it is good that is handles well and in a predictable manner. The reinforced sidewalls make the ride over bumps on the road more pleasant. The overall feeling of reliability and control when driving on snow, slush, and ice is better than other cars. GoodYear's all-season tyres are great for the UK, where snow isn't a common occurrence - but you will no longer be stranded thanks to these tyres. They are able to easily drive through the most difficult of conditions. They will compare to your typical 'summer' tyres as they will be just as effective on your typical family vehicle. 10,000 miles travelled in all conditions and very pleased with the performance in snowy and slushy conditions.

I genuinely appreciate these tyres when the weather is bad, like the rain and when it is cold. They grip well, give good feedback, and confidence to drive. When it is hot and dry, they seem to shift more than normal summer tyres, they feel a bit "loose" and not so good during tight corners. For my need of providing all-weather performance, they are great and also, I recommend!

This is my first experience with all season tyres. Unfortunately, their dry braking and cornering performance were worse than my previous summer ones in every aspect. Unfortunately, my car is quite heavy and the tread is too narrow for the size and weight of the car. I will have to buy a higher performance version of these tyres or go for a bigger tread size to have the same experience I had with the old Michelin summer tyres.:((.

From what I can tell, the tyres seem to be working as documented (I used to have the gen 2s). I don't know if the new block/sipe design will compare as well in snowy/slushy conditions to the zigzag design of the gen 2s. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out in snow, but I think dry and wet grip is about the same. I have been using winter tyres for 25 years and have had to change them every season. Nowadays, it seems that all-season tyres can withstand anything the UK weather throws at them. This would improve road safety and the flow of traffic in the winter and during bad weather. I think that all new cars in the UK should come with all-season tyres.

The tyres look great and perform great. They were quieter than my previous tyres, and they softened when it's winter time, but the grip is also fantastic even when it gets warmer. They also outstanding in wet conditions, and I didn't notice any signs of aquaplaning even on heavy puddles. I'm really pleased with these tyres and I no longer have to swap between summer and winter sets. I definitely recommend them!

These are acceptable all season tyres that won't stand out in any single category, but do a good overall job. Best suited for UK weather. You won't feel much difference between these and summer tyres in normal summer driving, but come winter, the difference is big, not only in snow, but in cold and rainy weather. Compared to summer tyres, I have noticed a small fuel economy drop (around 2mpg) especially on very hot days (up to 5mpg). There might be other factors such as engine performance. The tyres do feel a bit less responsive which is something that 95% of drivers wouldn't care about. These are easy to use from January to December.

Prior to having these Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, I had Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric on all four wheels - they were amazing tyres - so I was a tad concerned about the new ones being a possible compromise. I've now driven 1500 miles and all my concerns have been alleviated. They give great traction, perform well in both dry and wet, are quieter and more comfortable over bumps. They look great and don't seem to have impacted fuel consumption in a negative way. If they can match the 35,000 miles I got from the Asymmetric, I'll be more than happy!
