It has an asymmetric tread with a firmer outer edge cornering design and more open inner edge treads to handle wet driving conditions. In addition to the cornering design, Goodyear introduces its Active CornerGrip Technology to bring more rubber into contact with the road as the outer edge absorbs the weight of the SUV. Water is channelled away by the inner edge grooves as well as the front to back tread. The outer edge tread also has a dry and wet summer performance tread which is reinforced with silica.
