Tyre review for Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2
195/55R16Replacing tyres with Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 on my 2023 Golf Mk8 1.5 TSI has been a great improvement. The original factory Nexen N'Fera Sport SU2 tyres front tyres only lasted 15,000 miles. The Goodyears have changed driving experience for lasting comfort, grip, and durability. The Goodyear's have better grip and performance in any weather compared to the factory Nexens. Goodyear's performed better with confidence in the wet and made driver cornering feel better. Ride comfort and cabin noise have improved remarkably. The old setup felt firm and was noisy over bumps. Goodyears handle road imperfections and noise better enough to improve driver and passenger confidence. The steering feel less direct than previous Nexens, but increased grip, composure and comfort offset the steering feel. Goodyear's have shown little treadwear after several thousand miles and will continue to improve fuel economy. Overall these are the highest performing touring tyres and I would choose Goodyear's over any other competitor manufacturer in the segment, including Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, or Bridgestone. I would highly recommend them.
