The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a summer touring tyre made for longevity with its Mileage Plus Technology, which consists of a high-elasticity compound that does not suffer from road-induced cracks. Its tread features wide ribs for a stiff centre that promotes stability at high speeds. The Performance 2 utilises wet braking technology for improved performance on wet roads by using a less stiff compound that allows for the tread to mould to the road when braking.

The Performance 2 helps Goodyear claim up to 50% improved longevity of the Performance 2 tyre, when compared to its predecessor, the EfficientGrip Performance. The Performance 2 is enhanced at high speeds, with the use of Dry Stability Plus Technology. For vehicles that would benefit from a high load capacity, the Performance 2 is available in Reinforced XL construction. Tyres.co.uk is a stockist of the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2.

The handling of the tyres is really good. However, I've been disappointed when it comes to the fuel efficiency - it does not compare favorably to the previous set.

I spent money on what looks like a defective tyre. I have spent money on many tyres before, but I have never before seen one damaged after a few weeks, so I don't know if this is a result of bad luck or the tyre being substandard quality. Either way, this relatively short period of use does not justify the cost.

The honed rubber kept the noise and grip at the best level, which improved the situation a lot, as the visibility was complete torrential downpour and driving on the M25 in heavy rain is tricky.

The road conditions do not affect their performance. Good tyres in the rain, hold well, & are pretty quiet. I can't comment on fuel economy as I haven't driven much yet.

I purchased these tyres as my recently bought second-hand car had low-quality tyres, especially for the rainy season, and the fitted tyres were of a brand I had never heard of before. I have changed the front tyres for now and will do the rear ones later.
