Goodyear Assurance ComfortTred tyres use a ComfortLayer rubber cushion as part of the tread design, and are intended to absorb vibration and small shock impacts as the tyres travel over uneven surfaces, road imperfections, and debris. ComfortLayer is designed to be layered with a rubber cushion along the sidewalls to absorb impacts traversing the sidewall of the tyre. The sidewall cushioning and tread cushioning are integrated through the tyre design.
