Goodyear Assurance ComfortTred tyres use a ComfortLayer rubber cushion as part of the tread design, and are intended to absorb vibration and small shock impacts as the tyres travel over uneven surfaces, road imperfections, and debris. ComfortLayer is designed to be layered with a rubber cushion along the sidewalls to absorb impacts traversing the sidewall of the tyre. The sidewall cushioning and tread cushioning are integrated through the tyre design.

Goodyear’s TredLock Technology is designed to improve the effectiveness of the tread block contact patch with the road surface during braking, and provides the ability to support unconnected (in a standard state) tread blocks during braking. Tyres.co.uk sells the Goodyear Assurance ComfortTred.

I have been using the Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tread tyres on my Ford Focus for a few months now. Compared to my old Bridgestones, my ride is so much smoother. These tyres have performed great in both wet and dry conditions. Very pleased overall.
