The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a summer touring tyre made for longevity with its Mileage Plus Technology, which consists of a high-elasticity compound that does not suffer from road-induced cracks. Its tread features wide ribs for a stiff centre that promotes stability at high speeds. The Performance 2 utilises wet braking technology for improved performance on wet roads by using a less stiff compound that allows for the tread to mould to the road when braking.

The Performance 2 helps Goodyear claim up to 50% improved longevity of the Performance 2 tyre, when compared to its predecessor, the EfficientGrip Performance. The Performance 2 is enhanced at high speeds, with the use of Dry Stability Plus Technology. For vehicles that would benefit from a high load capacity, the Performance 2 is available in Reinforced XL construction. Tyres.co.uk is a stockist of the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2.

Overall, I would say it is decent, but the last tyre got damaged by potholes and wore unevenly despite tracking.

The tyres are performing as expected. They also keep the drivers quiet, and they grip and handle well in the rain. Because I drive with fuel consumption in mind I can't really comment on any impact on mpg. They also happened to be reasonably priced, due to a 10% off discount for buying two. I only ever buy Goodyear, Dunlop, or Michelin as tyres are the only part of the car in contact with the road and they are the most important thing.

The performance is good. The grip is good in both dry and wet conditions. I haven't tested them in the snow yet. I will have to wait until next winter to do that.

I do not drive much these days now that I'm retired but I'm happy with these tyres. Unfortunately, I had a flat today and had to replace the wheel on the side of the road.

Replacing tyres with Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 on my 2023 Golf Mk8 1.5 TSI has been a great improvement. The original factory Nexen N'Fera Sport SU2 tyres front tyres only lasted 15,000 miles. The Goodyears have changed driving experience for lasting comfort, grip, and durability. The Goodyear's have better grip and performance in any weather compared to the factory Nexens. Goodyear's performed better with confidence in the wet and made driver cornering feel better. Ride comfort and cabin noise have improved remarkably. The old setup felt firm and was noisy over bumps. Goodyears handle road imperfections and noise better enough to improve driver and passenger confidence. The steering feel less direct than previous Nexens, but increased grip, composure and comfort offset the steering feel. Goodyear's have shown little treadwear after several thousand miles and will continue to improve fuel economy. Overall these are the highest performing touring tyres and I would choose Goodyear's over any other competitor manufacturer in the segment, including Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, or Bridgestone. I would highly recommend them.

I noticed an improvement in my Kia Soul EV when I switched to Goodyear tyres from the original ones. They are not as noisy and my energy efficiency has even increased. The grip on the tyres is great. I can't say much about durability yet, but my first impressions are good.

The new tyres are as great as the previous ones. The only small issue is that the pressure may have dropped slightly due to the head and the many potholes.
