Porsche Cayman Tyres

The Porsche Cayman is a two-seat, mid-engine sports coupé. The Cayman also needs a tyre that can help with responsive steering and braking, and even provide grip in light rain. The Porsche Cayman needs a performance tyre that can provide comfort and grip for everyday driving, and an economical tread design that can minimise road noise and rolling resistance.

The first gen of the Porsche Cayman will not take the same tyre as later models. Models and trims also play a role in what tyre a Porsche Cayman will take. The correct Porsche Cayman tyres will also have to be the correct size, load index, and speed rating. These will be listed either on the handbook or registration, or it will be on the sidewall of the tyre. It is very important to have the right tyres of the Porsche Cayman to ensure safety, comfort and handling.

Porsche Cayman owners are able to view and compare tyres in terms of brand, price and performance, all from one site at Tyres.co.uk, where an order can be placed for local fitting at a garage that is taking part in the service.

I have had excellent performance with these tyres in all kinds of weather. The grip is excellent and the ride quality of my E89 Z4 improved noticeably as soon as I changed from the original run flats.

The tyres are excellent. However, the price has increased quite a lot. A nail went through the tread within a week. I will still choose Tyres.co.uk in the future.

Porsche Cayman Tyre FAQs

When ordering tyres for a 718 Cayman with factory 19-inch wheels, the Porsche Cayman tyre options at Tyres.co.uk include the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S and the Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) in 235/40 ZR19 for the front and 265/40 ZR19 for the rear. Prior to purchase, please verify the registration, axle position, load and speed rating, and any markings pertaining to Porsche specifications.

You can find tyre-size specifications for the Porsche Cayman on the tyre pressure sticker located on the driver's door jamb / door lock plate, or on earlier models what are referred to as the driver's side B-Pillar or door sill region. Since Porsche Cayman's often have staggered fitments, be sure to also check the front and rear tyre sidewalls.

Porsche Cayman does not always require all four tyres to be replaced: all production Caymans are rear wheel drive, meaning none have an all-wheel-drive matching requirement. Keep Porsche's approved front and rear fitment and matching regulations and replace in axle pairs by make, type, speed rating and specification code. If replacing two tyres, the new pair should be fitted to the rear axle.
