SP Sport 01 A/S Tyres description & features

The Dunlop SP Sport 01 A/S puts part of its focus on light snow and wet road traction for an all season passenger tyre. Its asymmetric tread design is aimed at improving these areas. The SP Sport 01 A/S uses a silica compound to improve grip and a variety of design elements to improve control and tread life. Aggravation and maximising contact of the tread with the road are the primary design elements of the sidewalls. The tread design is aimed at decreasing rolling resistance. Compared to the original Bridgestones, these are certainly more comfortable to ride. Sacrificing some of the turning sharpness is fine. Overall grip seems to be about the same.

It's a little premature to speak on the deterioration. My second-hand car from the dealer had brand new budget tyres. I wasn't fond of the original wheels so I purchased a new set and put Dunlops on them instead. The budget tyres weren't too bad, but after I put the Dunlops on, the handling was completely different. Such a significant difference.

Tyre wear is fine if you are an easy driver. If you are heavy-footed though, the tread will wear down more quickly. As for the performance of the tyre, it is excellent. That is the reason I have only bought one for my car, and have not had issues! Just make sure that the tread depth is even, and you should have no problems.
