The ranges of high performance summer tyres, Sport Maxx RT, are designed for providing minimum braking distances when moving at high speeds. Sport Maxx RT tyres include the Short Braking Technology which consists of a tread with blocky pattern featuring moulded blocks at the edge of the tread and providing larger area of the contact with the road in the case of braking. Asymmetrical tread pattern with large blocks at the outer edge of the tread improves stiffness of the tyres while cornering. Centre braking and acceleration are assisted by long rubber pieces and the rear grooves provide for water removal.
The Adaptive Compound of Dunlop is an individual rubber mixture which adjusts according to the driving style and road condition based on the motor sport experience. Sport Maxx RT tyre was replaced with the Sport Maxx RT 2. Max Flange Shield versions of Sport Maxx RT are rubber pieces which protect the rim edges from kerb damage. Dunlop Sport Maxx RT and Max Flange Shield versions of Sport Maxx RT are available at Tyres.co.uk.
