The Dunlop SP SportMaxx Race 2 summer tyres are designed for track day use and optimised for the Porsche 911 GT3 with road and circuit use in mind. The casing helps the tyre maintain its form even when tackling high-speed corners. Dunlop claims their Racing Core construction uses a hybrid layer of aramid and nylon over the belts and renders the tread flatter in the face of cornering forces. The asymmetrical layout features larger blocks on the outer edge with channels in the inner half to provide path for water to evacuate from the road contact patch.
Race 2 refers to the second generation of the Sport Maxx Race line and remains Dunlop's focus for road use circuit tyres. Tyres with N0 designation on the sidewall contain Porsche’s approval and signify that the tyre was manufactured for the specifications of the Porsche 911 GT3.
