ZX7 Tyres description & features

Avon ZX7 is a summer tyre especially designed for SUV vehicles, that gives priority to performance. ZX7 provides superb wet braking performance and steering control. ZX7 comes with an asymmetric tread design and has four longitudinal grooves that include channels which effectively evacuate rainwater. Also Avon used high-silica tread design in order to provide wet grip. Block patterns are provided on the outside of the tyre for providing lateral loading support.

ZX7 is the next generation of Avon ZX5 and features new on-road SUV tyre tread pattern with a larger amount of drainage channels. Also Avon ZX7 is available with XL reinforcement for on-road SUV tyres with higher load index. At Tyres.co.uk you can buy the Avon ZX7 tyres.

As the fitter stated, the Avons began to crack at the bottom of the grooves at about 15,000 miles, despite having plenty of tread. I have now returned to Michelin Crossclimate 2, which I was unable to obtain previously.

I've used these tyres for 18 months and they have 3mm tread remaining so I will need to change them soon. I have had no issues and they have been great. I will definitely get the same ones again. They are perfect for a Kia Sportage as they offer a smoother and quieter ride than others.

I have tried these tyres before. Normally they start cracking after a couple of years, however, they do give a comfy ride on a Rav4, nice grip, and are cheap. With all the potholes and construction work, punctures are pretty common, so price really does matter. The fitting service at the local garage in Banbury was excellent.

I had to change both front tyres because they outer edge wore out within a year and a few months. I had even had the wheels balanced before, and so it was disappointing that these tyres failed me so early. These were not even budget tyres, so they should have lasted me longer. New front tyres have now been fitted by my local garage.

Great on dry roads but on wet or cold days, they're the worst. I've tried taking off at speed, but all the wheels do is spin. If you're not careful joining the traffic, they won't last too long.

I only drive on roads. My old Goodyear Wranglers were quite noisy. I chose the Avon because they are supposed to be quieter. So far they have been noticeably quieter and have been fantastic in the last 2000 miles in the rain.
