The Avon AV12 is a summer commercial van tyre, designed with repeated daily deliveries and braking on wet roads in mind, thanks to a new rubber mix that is designed to decrease rolling resistance. That material aids braking on wet roads while minimising the energy that is lost to rolling. A reinforced casing and sidewall construction is designed to cope with regular loads, tight turns, and impacts with the kerb. 3 wide circumferential grooves on the tread design help to evacuate water.
The Avon AV12 is the successor to the Avon AV11. In comparison to the Avon AV11, Avon claims that the Avon AV12 improves wet braking by as much as 15%, and rolling resistance improves by up to 9%.
