As the fitter stated, the Avons began to crack at the bottom of the grooves at about 15,000 miles, despite having plenty of tread. I have now returned to Michelin Crossclimate 2, which I was unable to obtain previously.

The tyres seem to wear out at an average/European rate. The pattern appears to have more flex/movement in the actual tread, as if it's bending. They are good in the colder months, but I have yet to test them in any significant snow. Fuel efficiency has decreased slightly by around 2-3%.

The car came fitted with these tyres and, despite the price, I have been very pleased with them. I only changed them as they were flagged on an MOT for some cracking on the sidewalls after six years, despite there still being over 2.5mm of tread remaining. They are great, durable tyres.

As provided by Tyres.co.uk, Volvo XC90 models have the option to include the Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV or Pirelli Scorpion Verde fitment in 235/55 R19 105V XL. If purchasing these options for an XC90, please note the registration, wheel size, load index and speed rating along with the XL option.
The placement of the tyre pressure label on the Volvo XC90 is located on the pillar of the driver’s side door. The label cites the manufacturer’s recommended tyre size, load index, and a correlation of the manufacturer’s recommended pressure, as well as manufacturer identification on the tyre sidewall.
As is the case with most vehicles, it is not necessary to replace all four tyres of a Volvo XC90 when it has an AWD or Plug-in Hybrid configuration. All four tyres must meet approved specifications for their axle and radial construction. When installing winter tyres, all four tyres should be of the correct winter tyre type. As a general safety concern when installing two new tyres in the United Kingdom, they should be fitted to the rear axle.
