Volvo V70 Cross Country Tyres
The Volvo V70 Cross Country combines everyday family and long-distance utility with an assurance of a comfortable and safe ride on all types of road surfaces. In order to provide the level of assurance on wet roads that the Volvo V70 Cross Country requires, Cross Country Tyres must maintain a high level of wet grip, combined with even pressure distribution and reduced stopping distance, whilst providing a comfortable ride with a focus on reduced road noise.
Depending on the generation, trim, engine, and factory wheel package, there is no single size or specification for Volvo V70 Cross Country tyres. The correct Cross Country Tyres must fit the approved tyre size, load index and speed rating to maintain the required level of comfort, handling, and safety. The existing tyres, the vehicle handbook or records, vehicle registration, etc, can confirm fitment.
Tyres.co.uk facilitates searching for compatible options for the Volvo V70 Cross Country based on brand, price, performance and then organise local fitting at a convenient fitting centre. This setup simplifies the process of selecting tyres for the Volvo V70 Cross Country's touring role.
Michelin CrossClimate 2
Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 2 205/50R16
Exceeded expectations when it came to grip in all conditions, very confidence boosting.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 2 195/60R15
Superb grip also in rainy conditions.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 2 215/55R16
Great tyres, handle high speeds with no problems, and are amazing in the rain. They also perform really well on country roads. They initially worried me as to how fast they would wear out due to how good the grip was, but they have retained a surprising amount of tread. I will definitely purchase again.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 2 235/40R19
I think they will do well; they are all season and look like they have good traction.

Tyre review for Michelin CrossClimate 2 215/55R16
These tyres are awesome; they have amazing grip for all season types. They do just as well in rainy conditions as they do in snowy ones (I tried to skid on the snow, but I stayed in control. maybe I wasn't really trying?). Also being extra load tyres gives me confidence when going out camping holidays, pulling all our stuff, the roof box, and the kids' bikes. I would definitely buy them again!

Avon ZX7
Tyre review for Avon ZX7 245/45R19
As the fitter stated, the Avons began to crack at the bottom of the grooves at about 15,000 miles, despite having plenty of tread. I have now returned to Michelin Crossclimate 2, which I was unable to obtain previously.

I have no complaints about the tyres, they are meeting expectations. Seems like the same tyres as the Continentals I had before.

Great traction and pleasantly quieter.

Tyre review for Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season 235/60R18
Great to hear! I was instructed not to switch the rear tyres to the front on the Volvo, and the noise and vibration issues have really improved. I certainly won't be doing that again with this vehicle.

When looking for tyres for your 2001 2.4T automatic Volvo V70 Cross Country, two options from Tyres.co.uk are the Michelin CrossClimate 2 and the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, both at the factory standard size of 215/65 R16. Before making your purchase, take a look at the fuel-filler door label. It includes crucial information on the tyre's load index, speed rating and any reinforcements that may be of current legislative concern.
For the Volvo V70 Cross Country, the tyre sizing information is located in the tyre pressure information label on the fuel-filler door. On the label you will see the tyre specifications approved by the vehicle manufacturer. Along with the approved specifications, the label shows the cold inflation pressures and the vehicle limits. Make sure you compare the label with the tyres fitted and the information in the handbook prior to removing any of the tyres.
Due to the all-wheel drive system in the Volvo V70 Cross Country, it is strongly advised to fit the same tyres to each of the four wheels. This is to minimise adverse impact that a variation in rolling circumference may have to the transmission and all-wheel drive system. Should a pair that satisfies the requirements be available, it is advised to mount the tyres on the rear axle, in line with UK tyre safety advice.
