Scorpion Verde All Season Tyres description & features

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season is a seasonal tyre for SUVs and Crossovers made with Pirelli’s Verde method with a focus on tread for wet and cold conditions. The Scorpion Verde has a groove pattern that has front to back grooves with open channels throughout the pattern to evacuate water away from the tyre road contact patch. The tread has a block pattern with slits that give the tread edges for bite and is made with a rubber compound that has low temperature flexibility.

The Scorpion Verde All Season also has a sidewall marking with the M+S designation of mud and snow. Some variants have the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System which is a sound absorbing material that is bonded to the inside of the tyre to reduce the noise heard in the cabin. I've chosen to stick with the original fitting and go for a V rating rather than a T (I neither tow nor exceed UK speed limits). In almost 9 years and 85k miles, I've only had to change all four tyres once before this new set, two of which were due to punctures on the tread shoulders. I am really impressed with how long they last, their even wear and how comfortable they are.

Great all-year-round tyres, maybe not for high-performance cars but for my XC60 they are extremely reliable in all seasons. Worth checking prices as they vary a lot. I had to change my front tyres at 26,000 miles and the rear ones still had 2.5mm tread at 33,000 miles.

These tyres have great performance under all weather conditions and roads. They are not affected by snow and their water cutting abilities are excellent. Their road grip is good and they perform exceedingly well in off-road muddy conditions. I also use my car to tow a twin- axle caravan and had no issues in wet grass or fields whilst manoeuvring. I would recommend tyres without a second thought.
