Pirelli’s Chrono 2 continues the challenge of summer van tyre design for carrying commercial loads, but at the same time strives to maintain rolling resistance and weight better than its predecessor. The Chrono 2’s carcass design incorporates a ribbed tread pattern optimised for grip and safety in wet conditions. The tread pattern consists of three predominant longitudinal grooves that help evacuate water from the central section of the tyre, as well as rib sections, which in dry conditions are solid, and in wet conditions become a grip edge due to the presence of slits. The improved carcass design further enhances rolling resistance, while supporting the loads typical of vans and transporters.
The Chrono 2 ranges are only made possible due to the Chrono range and the Carrier, which occupied that section of the van line. As per the European Union labelling for the common sizes, that indicates fuel class C, wet grip class B, and an external noise class of 72dB, Pirelli Chrono 2 is now available in Tyres.co.uk.
