The Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) Elt is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre designed to capture the weight and instantaneous torque characteristic of electric performance vehicles. The asymmetrical tread features three wide grooves that run from front to back that help evacuate water and large blocks on the outer tread support the tyre during cornering. The tread of the tyre features summer nano-composite to help assist with grip in both dry and wet conditions.
The Elt marking indicates the use of Pirelli’s ELECT technology, which is aimed at reducing rolling resistance, as well as managing the higher load of electric vehicles, on some variations of the tyre, Pirelli’s Noise Cancelling System is also featured, which is a foam layer inside the tyre that helps reduce the resonance created in the tyre’s air cavity.
