The Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) Elt is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre designed to capture the weight and instantaneous torque characteristic of electric performance vehicles. The asymmetrical tread features three wide grooves that run from front to back that help evacuate water and large blocks on the outer tread support the tyre during cornering. The tread of the tyre features summer nano-composite to help assist with grip in both dry and wet conditions.

The Elt marking indicates the use of Pirelli’s ELECT technology, which is aimed at reducing rolling resistance, as well as managing the higher load of electric vehicles, on some variations of the tyre, Pirelli’s Noise Cancelling System is also featured, which is a foam layer inside the tyre that helps reduce the resonance created in the tyre’s air cavity. Pirelli PZ 4 tyres are an excellent match for the Polo GTI. They are extremely quiet while also providing excellent steering responsiveness. In addition, they provide superior grip on wet and dry roads. The GTI's high torque, seamless performance, and sophisticated look are complemented perfectly by these tyres.

I have owned some of the noisiest tyres ever. They make a lot of noise. They drive noise is like that of a plane engine. I will never go with this brand again. I have had less expensive brands for tyres and have never had this problem. Also, these are only on the front, yet the rear has a different, cheaper and way better set of tyres.

When the BMW iX1 was originally equipped with the Continental Eco Contact 6Q tyres, it had a very light front end feel while driving, particularly in wet conditions. I've changed the front tyres to PZ4s and the difference is monumental. It now drives like a genuine BMW in all conditions!

The tyres are clearly outperforming the previous ones, wet and dry conditions included, and I think it is even more impressive considering it is the same model as the previous ones. I do wonder how much more wear they can take, however, as the previous set was changed after just 7000 miles. I suppose when I purchased the car it was 18 months old, and had only done 2770 miles, which may also explain the poor wear characteristics of the tyres.

I left a review a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm sharing update pictures of the tyres: they're about to be replaced. The original Bridgestones were excellent. A puncture meant I couldn't fully wear them out though, I had to replace both as it's not ideal to have a new tyre and a worn one on the steering axle (even if it is technically allowed, I'd advise against it). These tyres have always done the job, particularly in the wet. So YES, I would buy them again if the price is right, when I have the money for it!

I had P Zero runflats on my X3 before, so I went for the same brand again. Good handling, grip, and traction, but these seem to track grooves in the road more than the last set. I guess that's a runflat thing.

My X5 is doing great with these tyres. They're quiet, have a good grip, and are comfortable. Although they are the official BMW tyres for this model, the car's system won't detect them and I see that as a problem with the car.
