Tyre review for Pirelli Scorpion Winter
265/40R21I haven't owned a high-performance snow tyre before. I bought a set of Pirelli Scorpion tyres last winter. After 3,700 miles on motorways and city roads, the wear indicators on the rear tyres were reached. This winter, I got another set for the rear thinking the first set must have been faulty. But the same thing happened again, at about 3,700 miles. The front tyres seem to have a lot of life left. I drive a 2014 Jeep Laredo, so an all wheel drive SUV. I am not heavy footed driver whether it be in town or on the motorways. My winter driving typically is a 0 miles commute to work and back. To add to that I do an 500 miles round trip every month to our holiday home in the Okanagan from October to April. I thought these tyres would be able to handle that kind of driving. I had a wheel alignment done to the car when I had the tyres fitted this past winter. I have not been happy with the confidence that these tyres were meant to provide. I have felt that they have been slippery in the winter. I have used Toyo, Firestone, Bridgestone, Michelin, and these tyres have been the most costly yet the most disappointing. I will not be purchasing or recommending these tyres again.
